Rare and original, 1911 Coca-Cola Celluloid Advertising Pocket Mirror featuring a wonderful, Hamilton King illustration.
This fantastic, chromolithograph Pocket Mirror measures approx. 1 3/4” x 2 3/4” and features a bust portrait of a beautiful young woman wearing a wide brimmed hat with red roses. Text on the mirror reads simply "Drink Delicious Coca-Cola" and the Mirror carries the mark of the manufacturer - Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, New Jersey. There is also text on the rolled rim that reads "Duplicate Mirrors, 5¢ Postage, Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta, GA.". Although the image is not signed by the artist, the portrait has been attributed to Hamilton King.
This outstanding 1911 Coca-Cola Advertising Mirror is unconditionally guaranteed to be an original 1911 Coca-Cola Pocket Mirror and is NOT a reproduction, reissue, reprint or recent piece - it was manufactured and distributed in 1911 by the Coca-Cola Company.
This 1911 Coke Advertising Mirror is in very good condition. The surface is intact and sound and the colors are bright and vibrant and there are no cracks, chips, scratches, crazing or physical damage. There are, however, scattered, small spots of light foxing as can be seen in the scans below. The foxing tends to blend into the background color and the Mirror still displays nicely. The mirror back does have some small spots of loss to the silver backing as can be seen in the scans below.
