    Description

Typical example of the "Justice For Hungary" by two
Hungarian aviators, Capt. George Endres and Lt. Alexander Magyar.
They were competing for the £2,000 prize to be the first Hungarian to fly from the United States to Hungary.
They left Harbour Grace on July 15, 1931 and after a non-stop 3,200 miles flight they won the prize when they landed in Budapest.  This was the 12th successful crossing of the North Atlantic by air.
This postcard has the correct May 14 Flint, Michigan postmark.  It also has all
three green cachets, one of which is a Budapest arrival dated July 16.
Another is a double-ringed circular cachet depicting an airplane with “Justice for Hungary” across the top with the rest of the inscription in Hungarian.
The third cachet applied is an unboxed three line handstamp with details of the flight in Hungarian and English.
This cover is catalogued in the TransOceanic section of the American Air Mail Catalogue as TO-1144.
