Description
1910 Souvenir ST. PAUL MINN Pocket Mirror ST. PAUL Hotel, Landmark Center, Streetcars, Horse CarsThe celluloid face of the mirror is an actual photograph of downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, as stated:
"LOOKING UP FIFTH STREET"
"ST. PAUL MINN."
This mirror is dated as approximately 1910 for the following reasons:
-Electric streetcars which came to St. Paul in 1889 are seen
-Post Office, built in 1902 (now Landmark Center) is seen on the horizon in background on right
-The St. Paul Hotel, built in 1910, is seen in background, center and on left
-A horse drawn vehicle is seen in foreground on lower right.
It could not have been much later than 1910. Also seen is a "Jewel" Store.
Dimensions: 2 3/8" wide diameter; 4 1/2" long including handle.
NOTE: the metal frame is very close in style to the the metal frame of the "Victorian Lady" pocket mirror I have listed right now.
In "VERY GOOD" condition. 110 year old mirror has some blemishes but is otherwise clear and you can easily see yourself; metal frame slightly misshapen; celluloid face has minor scratches. Please review photos carefully for condition specifics.
