    Description

    This is a cabinet card photo of a stone building, most likely a school, with a teacher and some boys & girls outside. Posted on the door is a notice. I can only read the words “Tax Papers” on this notice. Propped up in the corner of the porch is a coal shovel. The photo was taken right around 1898-1903. I got it with some other photos taken near York, Pennsylvania so I presume that’s also where this school building was located. Overall size: 6” x 4 ¼”. Good condition; no significant mars. Good contrast and clarity. Back of the mount is blank except for my light pencil notation about the possible location.
