    Description

    South Bend was added to the Delta Airlines system on February 1, 1992. Inaugural service consisted of three
    daily nonstop flights from its Cincinnati hub. Philatelic treatment was not requested.
    No cachet was provided for the inaugural mail. South Bend refused to backstamp the covers received from
    Cincinnati.
    McDonnell Douglas DC-9S equipment was used on the inaugural flights.
