    Description

Fire suppression system, Ultra High Speed Deluge, Portable, CVD Corp
This is a used Ultra High Speed Deluge fire suppression system in good operating condition. System is a portable self-contained fire extinguishing system that provides four nozzles of pressurized water that are activated by ultraviolet sensors. Response time is less than 100ms so it can provide protection around explosives, fuels, propellants and hazardous material cleanup.
The deluge system consists of the main delivery tank that is filled with water and pressurized to 150 PSI. The 150 PSI pressure comes from the onboard nitrogen cylinder through the pressure reducing regulator. Up to four hoses and nozzles can be connected to the output manifold. Each water hose also has a smaller pilot hose which connects the nozzle to the activation solenoid. There are four ultraviolet detectors that can be aimed as needed. The heart of the system is the UV controller which is housed in an explosive proof enclosure. The controller processes the signals from the detectors and signals the solenoids when to fire. The sensitivity of the system and logic of what sensors and nozzles are to be used can be adjusted with DIP switches on the controller. The enclosure next to the controller enclosure houses the battery backup system.  Once the system is fired it can be reset with the press of one button. A built in alarm signals an activation.
System was tested with various forms of flames from lighters and torch strikers and the solenoid valves can be heard operating instantly. We also tested the system with water and it performed well as can be seen in the videos. Unit is in good physical and operating condition but like all critical support equipment it should be professionally installed and certified before use. System only includes what is shown. High pressure bottle not included.

The new ebay buyer protection program has inspired us to offer all of our items “as-is”.
This does not mean that you are buying a machine with deficiencies, known or unknown.
What it means is that some of our items will be tested and will include the results in the description and others will be untested but described accurately to the extent that is possible without actually powering up the machine.
In addition to this written description you will have the opportunity to view high quality photos of the item.
With these two sources of information you will have as much information as possible without being physically here to inspect the machine.
Feel assured that we will make a diligent effort to give you an accurate description of the equipment.
As a buyer you should be aware that you are buying an expensive piece of equipment at a greatly reduced price and as such you may have to deal with certain unknowns and defective components which were not known and could not be known without full scale setup and operation of the machine.
Our experience in dealing with many specialized pieces of equipment has proven this to be a rare occurrence however it is a risk inherent in buying used equipment.
The very few times we have had to deal with these issues we have been very helpful in resolving the problem.
