Ground shipping with UPS/FedEx is free for the contiguous United States. This chandelier will be tricky to ship, as the glass panels are designed to be loose within the frame. I think they will end up broken if I ship it like it is in the photos. To protect the glass, I will unscrew the bars and black ring around the bottom, slide the glass panels out, and wrap them up separately. You will then have to put it back together. There is a possibility that there are chips in the corners of the glass panels, but that won’t be known until I remove them.
It’s about 19 pounds including all the pieces you see in the photos. The main part of the lamp is about 22” x 23” wide, and 15” from the bottom of the center column up to the top of the ring that’s attached to the oak block. Then there’s 51” of chain up to the canopy.
This chandelier by Fredrick Ramond is dated 1984, but has all the design inspirations of the 70’s.
This might be the largest of this style that they made. They also made a slightly smaller five-sided chandelier and smaller four-sided chandelier in similar designs.
There are six sockets around the middle and one pointing down. The six around the middle each face a smoked glass panel with oak sides and brass plated tops and bottoms. Overall, it shows minor wear/scratches/dings/chips that you would expect from a large vintage chandelier. Chips/dings to the wood are mostly very minor with the exception of a 1.75” long sliver on one edge, which could possibly be repaired or marked/painted to match the stain of the wood. The wood block on top has two sides that are darker. That’s just how the wood soaked up the stain, and not from water damage.
The lamp comes with five round bulbs that look vintage and one bulb pointing down that is newer. I do not know how long they have been in use, so I can’t guarantee they’ll work. The lamp is designed to be hard-wired into the ceiling. There is a switch in the center that allows you to choose between having all seven sockets lit, just the six around the side, or just the one pointing down.
