    Description

Shortly after inaugurating service to Nairobi, Pan American received authorization to make a stop at
Entebbe, the capital of Uganda – a tiny nation lying immediately to the west of Kenya in East Africa.
The flight between Entebbe and Nairobi took about one hour.
    This cover was
carried on the February 4, 1966
inaugural Foreign Air Mail Route 18 flight from the John F Kennedy Airport Mail Facility in New York to Entebbe, Uganda
(where it was backstamped) and is listed in the Foreign Air Mail (FAM) Section of The American Air Mail Catalogue as F18-395F.
