    Pauline Hall (1860-1919): Pauline was a very popular American actress, dancer and singer. She made her debut as a ballet dancer at the age of 15. Her 44 year c
    areer was from 1875-1919.
    1878-1879: She made many California appearances with the touring Oates Opera Troupe.
    She was a member of the legendary Mary Anderson’s acting company.
    1884: As Venus in Orpheus and Eurydice, she “took the town by storm.”
    “She has simply a dashing, vigorous and entirely healthy personality, a racy German sense of humor and a face for which we could forgive almost anything”. She later performed in vaudeville and was known as the “Queen of Comic Opera”. She died of pneumonia at the age of 59.
    She stands facing front with her hands together, wearing a gown with floral motifs accentuating her narrow waist, a 4-strand pearl necklace, and a pearl bracelet.
