Wonderful as she was on previous visits, Little Irene has improved. Her dramatic ability is of a high order and her voice amazed the audience, which was so large many had to stand.” 1899 review: “Instead of a little girl with baby voice and actions I found a precocious child actress—one who is developed in the matter of histrionic ability far beyond her years. Little Irene Myers is a born actress—the world’s youngest star. Every word spoken and every gesture made bespoke her wonderful ability. She was repeatedly encored by the audience which packed the house. She completely won the hearts of those present. Little Irene Myer’s company is the strongest repertoire organization that has ever appeared here. The future is full of promise for Little Irene.”
She stands before a decorated stage backdrop facing half-left and looking front, her hands on her hips, and wearing a gown with fur at the neck, sleeves, and bottom hem; a bracelet, and dancing slippers.
