Details: Porcelain off-white "Caolina" pendant lamp by Michele de Lucchi for Produzione Privata (Italy). This contemporary, understated lighting fixture features a slightly fluted exterior, a gray platinum thread along the bottom edge and 3.25" diameter chrome ceiling plate. The 9.5" high pendant lamp takes upto a 75 watt bulb, comes with a 4.25" ceiling bracket mount and has a cord long enough to extend another 7" longer than pictured. Retails for 0.
Michele de Lucchi was born in 1951 at Ferrara and graduated in architecture in Florence. During the period of radical and experimental architecture he was a prominent figure in movements like Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis. His professional work has always gone side-by-side with a personal exploration of architecture, design, technology and crafts. In 1990 he set up Produzione Privata, where the artist designs products that are made utilizing artisan's techniques and crafts. We are pleased to offer this unique collection of products.
